Presidents Message
President's Pen
It was been my pleasure to step in to complete the term of president for Lorna Linden. Thank you to Chapter members for your vote of confidence.
My goal is to continue our Board's direction, as was set forth at the
retreat last July. One of the goals included attracting and retaining
members with informative and engaging educational programs. This was clearly
demonstrated during our January meeting with convention center panelists and
our Annual Winter Education Workshop in February at the Tacoma Convention &
Trade Center. Both meetings provided valuable information for meeting
planners and suppliers, as well as networking opportunities.
We will continue to work toward providing timely information on our Chapter's Web site (www.pnwsgmp.com). We will also explore different ways of communicating to Chapter members through the use of this valuable tool.
Marketing is without a doubt a critical part of what we all do, whether we are suppliers or meeting planners. Our March meeting will address this priority of the Board.
Remember to always be thinking about fellow government planners who could benefit from involvement in our Chapter. Invite them to the next meeting!
Let's all continue to work together to strengthen our Chapter and its value to all of us!
