Hello PNW Chapter Members!

I am excited to tell you about a new project for SGMP nationally -- a cookbook in honor of SGMP's 30th anniversary that will be distributed to all attendees at the 2012 National Education Conference in New Orleans! What better place to offer a cookbook than the city of amazing food.

Not only will this wonderful book have recipes from all SGMP chapters around the country, it will also have a brief history on each chapter. I will be submitting ours to the national committee soon. As everyone knows, cooking invokes memories of special times spent with special people. The national committee is asking for short SGMP memories that will mae this cookbook not only about recipes but also about our SGMP family. There is a Survey Monkey link at the bottom of this message that you may use to submit your recipes and stories to the committee. There is a goal of a minimum of ten recipes per chapter -- I hope that we will submit at least that!

I encourage you to submit your favorite recipes of a local flavor -- favorite seafood recipes or family favorites. Please submit your recipes by October 31, 2011.

Please contact me if your have any questions. I hope you are as excited about this project as the national committee and I am and that you will submit your favorite recipes and stories to make this book a true SGMP treasure.

Warmly,

Jan Thor, CMP
