PNW Chapter mission is to provide a common forum for meeting planners and suppliers as a means of facilitating improvements in the quality and cost effectiveness of government meetings.

Some Quick Facts about the PNW Chapter of SGMP:

  • Chartered as Seattle Chapter on April 17, 1985—the second chapter chartered in SGMP
  • Renamed Pacific Northwest Chapter in 1988
  • Hosted SGMP’s 9th National Education Conference in 1991
  • Representing SGMP all across Washington state,  Idaho. and Alaska.
  • Current membership - 70

PNW SGMP is managed by a Board of Directors, elected by the membership.

Joining a Chapter Committee helps members learn more about the chapter and the meetings industry as well as develop relationships with other members. PNW SGMP has seven committees: Programming; Membership; Fundraising/Sponsorships; Honors, Awards & Member Recognition; Community Outreach/Charity; Website/Social Media; and Nominations & Elections.
